1439

Johannes Gutenberg invented the Mechanical Printing Press using movable type.

1880-1930

Lithography printed pieces of paper were attached to packaging using a gum adhesive and introducing industries and consumers to labels.

1930s

The term “self-adhesive label” was introduced to the printing industry by advancements made by R. Stanton Avery.

1980s

Inkjet printers were introduced to the consumer market, and label templates were developed for business and personal use.

1991

StickerMan was established in Kent, Washington, with two employees, a one-color press, and a single phone line.

1996

StickerMan expanded its operations to include a second location in Palm Springs, California, adding additional employees and press capabilities for both locations.

2010

StickerMan listened carefully to their valued dealers and invested in an upgraded website for all catalog-based orders and order tracking capabilities.

2016

The past 25 years has led StickerMan down a path of continued success and growth. The prepress and production equipment available compared to 1991 has been astonishing and continued investment into expanding our capabilities had been a major goal.

2019

Both StickerMan locations merged into the Palm Springs plant. That move paved the path for advancements in expanding our digital printing offerings.

2020

Labels and stickers had proven their necessity, even through a worldwide pandemic. We have seen innovative uses for labels, including applications, materials, and messaging during COVID-19. Thank you to all our dealers. We wish you health and safety for years to come.
